THE BRIDAL AFFAIR INDIA BLOG
Welcome to the real wedding of Rajvi & Mahek who met after Mahek crashed Rajvi’s party, eventually started dating, had a sunset proposal in Croatia and finally sealed the deal with a scenic and serene Mussoorie wedding.
“ Mahek was my very first boyfriend. And I was Mahek’s not very first, but definitely very last. We met around 4 years ago through a common friend. One of the chance encounters was on my birthday party. Mahek was at the same venue attending another event and crashed my birthday, so to say. Finally, with the help of their common friend, we met. The rest, as they say, is history!
After dating for a few years, he proposed to me in Croatia. Since I’m a mountain lover, he took me on a road trip up a hilly terrain, on a trek through beautiful lavender fields, up to one of the highest spots in Croatia, with a picnic basket in hand, and a driver who was his secret photographer. The excuse was: let’s go watch the sunset from one of Croatia’s prettiest points. And as the sun started to set, he got on bended knee on the edge of the cliff, catching me completely by surprise, and asked me to be his wife. How could I say no!”
“The wedding venue chosen was JW Marriott Mussoorie. It was the ideal location intimate, in between the mountains, cold wintery weather, magical and beautiful. And also it was a unique option — not too
many weddings had been done before here, and we wanted to do something different. Not to mention, the
entire hotel, with its glass facades, made every spot a vantage point of mesmerising views. Its lavish lawns,
amazing rooms, beautiful banquet spaces made the choice even easier. The venue even had an arcade with a
bowling alley — which we used as a theme for one of our after-party events.”
