A tale of childhood sweethearts that blossomed into love of the most beautiful kind! Meet Rasneet and Shrey, who are clear examples of the workings of destiny. A story that will make you believe in the concepts of soulmates and fate. A truly surreal affair, that was just meant to be!

How They Met

Shrey and Rasneet first met in 2004 when she was 12 and he was 13, their families were on a guided group tour across Australia & New Zealand. “We didn’t stay in touch after that. Destiny kept bringing us together, his cousin studied in the same college as me, I attended all his cousin’s birthdays at their family home but he was always busy or travelling.” Eventually in 2018 sixteen years later they connected on hinge and he asked if he could meet her dog! “Sitting across the table on our first date I realised I’ve seen this boy before, we then uncovered this long-lost connection and the rest was history.”

They initially were to get married in  Mussoorie in March 2020, but just 3 days before the wedding they had to unfortunately  postpone it, due to the pandemic. Given the scenario, they then chose Taj Lands end in Mumbai itself to get married in January, keeping in mind the comfort and health of all their friends & family. “We had a two day stay at hotel celebration after requesting each guest and team member to test to ensure utmost safety of the elderly attending our wedding and it was the best decision at that because everyone thoroughly enjoyed without any fear at the back of their minds.”

A Note on The Vendors

Here’s what the lovely couple have to say for their dear vendors,

“All of our vendors were extremely supportive at the time of postponement. They were very happy to work with us whenever we decided to re-plan our wedding.”

Castles and coasters: “Namha, Edul & the entire team made our dream wedding come to life twice, first they planned a gorgeous three day affair in Mussoorie which could not be executed and then did the same thing all over again in Mumbai, there aren’t a lot of people who would be willing to do that. They were amazing at managing to shift our entire wedding, coordinating with everyone and making the whole process a breeze for us. Apart from being amazing at their job, they always took that extra step. They were there to guide and counsel us whenever needed, just talk to us as friends through the pandemic and the postponement.”

Sam & Ekta: “I found them on Instagram and instantly fell in love with their photography. They were my first choice during the entire course of wedding planning even before the venue was thought through, simply because I love how they focus on capturing each and every precious moment of the wedding. They’re true magicians behind the camera lens because every series of photos makes us relive the wedding days as it were just yesterday. What makes them special is that they make all friends and family feel very included.”

Reshmaa merchant & Megha Wadekar: “They’re my favourite makeup duo. I was an extremely nervous bride, not big on heavy makeup but they understood my requirement thoroughly and did a fantastic job, so much so I have compliments pouring in for each of my looks till date. They met me before hand to discuss each look and made me feel really comfortable.”

Anamika Lalwani: “Anamika made sure that our mehendi and sangeet dances were something extra ordinary, she always gave it that little bit extra to make sure everything was on point and thoroughly entertaining. Right from the song selection to the moves that were taught, she was great at all of it.”

Madoc: “Madoc is a thorough professional when it comes to making sure everyone has an amazing time partying. He changed up the vibe from a traditional sangeet after party to an EDM party on one night and old school hip hop on another, everyone was so happy to party like this after far too long.”

Aryaendra Shekhar: “He created the perfect setting for our reception dinner, with an amazing song selection that had everyone singing along. As an artist he was very helpful to my husband in planning a surprise song that he sung for me.”

The celebration of this union was nothing less than a harmonious, soothing symphony. The doing of lady fate herself in the most beautiful way possible!
