THE BRIDAL AFFAIR INDIA BLOG

With make up artists by her side, every bride looks her best on her wedding day, but how do you maintain that bridal day glow for months to come? We at TBAI teamed up with ace Make Up Artist Ojas Rajani to tell you how ten small steps can ensure that your bridal glow never fades. A basic makeup regime for newlywed brides should be focused on radiance and brightening as the resulting glowing skin beams of a feeling of happiness and confidence. Sharing her best kept secrets, Ojas says:

I. I cannot stress enough on how important it is to prep your skin and ensure it looks luminous and is ready for make-up. Use a super hydrating cleanser and moisturiser for this step.

II. The under eyes are always a battle but a singular pump of a radiant creamy concealer is more than enough to instantly hide fatigue. I highly recommend the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer.

III. SPF is an underrated yet vital step. Use a tinted moisturiser and sunscreen across the rest of your face. The Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser works wonders!

IV. If you are looking for something that gives you more hydration before your tinted moisturiser, opt for a water based skin soufflé. The light texture of this product will leave you looking luminous, Tatcha cosmetics are one of the forerunners in this field.

V. Up next are the lashes which must always be generously coated with a waterproof mascara. I swear by Lancôme’s products for this step.

VI. A smudge proof lip and cheek stain will ensure your rosy glow stays with you. Opt for a lip tint like the ones from Huda Beauty in the shade Desert Rose.

VII. Spritz a moisturising skin refreshing spray like Evian Hydrating Face Mist to lock everything in.

VIII. And finish off with lubricating eye drops like Refresh Tears, so your eyes are always hydrated.

IX. It is just as important for you to nurture your skin to a rejuvenating face mask and a hydrating skin balm eye mask.

X. Indulging in timely face, body and foot scrubs also go a long way in delivering a polished look.

Ojas also says that there are a few must-haves that should be in your make-up kit at all times. They include:

Body Shop Tea Tree Face Blotting Tissues | An Instant Brightening Makeup Setting Mist | A Kajal Pencil | A Pressed Powder Foundation For Touch-Ups | An Optional Eyelash Curler

With these few things in your pouch, you will be ready to travel under all weather conditions and enjoy yourself while looking radiant throughout!
