THE BRIDAL AFFAIR INDIA BLOG

This love story is exactly what dreams are made up of. Anmol and Chirag’s story beat distance, time and everything that came along with it, inspiring everyone to believe in the power of true love. Their journey is one of the purest and filled with just respect and adoration for one another.

Anmol and Chirag met during the magical winter of 2014, when Anmol had come back from her university to spend her winter break. As luck would have it, they bumped into each other during a night out in Dubai.
“Our journey has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride. But amidst that journey there was never a moment of doubt in our minds – we were meant for each other and were determined to make the journey count. We fell in love during our long distance dating period as we got to know each other better and better through innumerable calls, Skype sessions, banter, and travels.”

The Proposal

When we speak about fairytale proposals, this should definitely top the list. Here’s why, explained by the bride herself!
“He knows I’m a big sucker for good views and that I always wanted a special proposal and I got just that. We  were in Athens, Greece and he flew us to Santorini. Right after checking in he said we are going to explore Athens so I should get ready asap. We then sat in the car which took us to a mountain top. We got off the car and as I walked up towards the peak I could hear my favourite song playing in the back ‘fly my to the moon by frank Sinatra’ and it was in that moment I knew he was going to propose to me. I got my fairytale proposal and rest is history!”

The Wedding

There is always this one special moment during your wedding that you would remember till the end of time, here’s our bride’s most special moment,
“The most precious moment for me was walking down the Umaid Bhawan Staircase leading to the Royal Mandap. My sister and I had planned each and every detail and seeing all the hard work come together on my wedding day was priceless. They say god is in the details and we focused on just that – from my Sabyasachi Wedding Outfit, to my 10m long veil from Europe, to my carefully curated jewellery especially the exquisite Satlari piece , to the perfect composition of AR Rahman’s song “Nahin Samne” backed by live drum beats, to the specific sunset hue, and above all my family and friends all sitting together at the lawns.”

We’d like to end by some extremely important tips given by Anmol!

“Brides-to-be please buckle up, because it’s going to be a bumpy yet memorable time! Stay calm, focused and delegate. There isn’t a “one size fits all” advice to give to brides because it really depends on the type of bride you are; from really chill to really particular. But one thing is for sure, you will need all the time to plan so start very much in advance! Ofcourse!”
