THE BRIDAL AFFAIR INDIA BLOG
Welcome to the real wedding of Swati & Kamlesh who were college sweethearts for 10 years and then tied the knot with a fairy-tale wedding in Jaipur.
“I attended a girls school called Tiffin Girls’ School and Kamlesh went to the boys school called Tiffin Boys’ School. Both schools had one shared course together and as fate had it, we ended up being in the same class and that’s how I met him. He got my e-mail address, and what started off as a great friendship developed into a beautiful relationship throughout university and after, which lasted almost ten years before we decided to tie the knot. Kamlesh took me to the park by the River Thames that we always went to as kids and got down on one knee at “our” bench. That bench has always been special as that’s where he had asked me out originally. It was just us and absolutely magical.”
“We wanted a wedding that was rustic and intimate but also encompassed the Rajasthani culture and history. The venue was really important to us and that’s why we zeroed in on Samode Palace, Jaipur given its 475 years old history and is absolutely stunning. We were keen to use as many different spaces in the venue as possible and had events in different areas to make the most of the palace.”
The Wedding Makers
Designer Events Inc: Choosing Designer Events Inc. to plan our wedding was the best decision we made. Kaveri and her team worked tirelessly to make sure everything went smoothly at the wedding! Her positive attitude made us stress free throughout the process! DEI were the glue that held our wedding together, they planned and decorated our wedding meticulously. They paid attention to every detail and took our breath away with the decor at every event.
We couldn’t thank DEI enough for their incredible help, support and attention to detail through the planning phase and more importantly at the wedding itself! DEI are brilliantly at what they do and we couldn’t recommend them enough!Samode Palace, Jaipur: We knew Samode was where we’d get married the instant we set foot inside the palace. Every corner of Samode oozes rustic charm, elegance and beauty whilst remaining subtle. The staff at Samode treat weddings like it’s their own family’s and set the bar extremely high when it comes to hospitality. Our guests loved the food and service and we couldn’t thank the Samode team enough for all their hard work throughout the wedding.Jasmeet Kapany: Jasmeet is a star and I couldn’t recommend her enough. Her attitude and personality really set her apart as I was finalising my make up artist and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Jasmeet was the calming influence I needed throughout the madness of the wedding. She made sure I was rested, eating and happy ahead of all the events. Jasmeet really knows how to bring out features in a subtle way and is absolutely amazing at what she does.Naman Verma: Naman and his team are absolutely amazing at what they do, they are creative geniuses who aren’t afraid to push the boundaries in wedding photography whilst making you feel completely relaxed. We’ve been completely blown away by our wedding teaser and photos and couldn’t recommend them enough.
